Water Asset Management Strategy
CRS has represented one of California’s largest municipal wastewater districts for many years, providing broad legislative and regulatory advocacy services. We assist the district on permitting and policy development at the State and Regional Water Boards, development and implementation of its legislative and regulatory priorities, and we represent the district before the Legislature and State Water Board.
CRS also provided substantial input into the development of a “water asset management strategy” to create and realize (for the benefit of ratepayers and regional interests) value for high-quality recycled water it produces. Part of that strategy was realized in 2011 when Governor Brown signed legislation that would enable the client to seek an appropriative water right equal in volume to the amount of treated wastewater discharged by the agency.
CRS also helped the district develop a “water asset management strategy” to create and realize (for the benefit of ratepayers and regional interests) value for high-quality recycled water it produces.
